National Engineering Industries Ltd (NEIL), India’s largest bearings manufacturer and leading exporter has announced the launch of innovative ‘Back on Track’ programme to provide opportunities for talented women back into the workplace after career breaks. Under the programme, the plan is to recruit reasonably good number of women on career breaks into various management roles over the next three years.
The programme is designed to help women with the transition back into the workplace and offers women the chance to work on client projects, upgrade skills and broaden professional network. The programme aims to help bring professional women back into the workplace who have had a career break due to personal reasons. The programme consists of mentorship, buddy, trainings and orientation programs supporting a transition back to work and offering practical guidance to women on work culture, coaching and insights into balancing work and home lives.
‘Back on Track’ programme will include training and induction programmes to enhance skills and help women prepare for re-entry into the workplace. With focus is on hiring women employees from tier II and tier III cities, NEIL is in the process of hiring of women to increase representation of women across all functions and locations. To further strengthen the Program for increasing the female hiring and diversity.
